The Greene County Historical & Genealogical Society is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to preserving the history of Greene County, Arkansas and providing historical and genealogical resources for our residents and visitors. GCHGS was granted non-profit status in 2005, making all of our donations tax deductible. Our support comes solely from membership fees, sales of our publications, donations, and grants. We are an all-volunteer organization passionate about the history and genealogy of our home -- Greene County, Arkansas.
